NZ Mullet Fishing Nets

Ready-to-use mullet fishing nets designed for New Zealand conditions, with mesh sizes suitable for North and South Island regulations.

Specifications

• Mesh sizes: 90mm or 100mm
• 25MD: Approximately 1.9m deep when set
• 30MD: Approximately 2.3m deep when set
• Mesh thickness: 0.50mm diameter
• Top rope: 6mm rope with floats
• Bottom rope: Braided lead-core rope, with the lead contained inside the rope to help reduce tangling
• Material: UV-stabilised polyethylene

Available Mesh Sizes

• 3-5 inch: 90mm
• 4-00 inch: 100mm

The nets are supplied ready to use. Anchors are required at each end, along with marker floats or buoys displaying the fisher’s name where required.

For optimal performance, a guide of 1kg of anchor weight per 20m of net at each end is recommended.

Net length requirements should also be considered when setting or dragging nets. Check the current New Zealand fishing regulations for applicable maximum net lengths and other requirements.

Built for durability and repeated use, these nets feature lead-core bottom rope and UV-stabilised polyethylene mesh to provide reliable performance in New Zealand conditions.
